Measuring biofilm, whether you want it or not

A practical comparison of methods for quantifying biofilm on membranes, on carriers and in biofilters — what each method sees, what it costs, and when to choose it. Written and published by Polarlys Innovation AS.

Less sludge, more fouling

A look back at three of our own biofilm-MBR studies from 2010–2012: why removing suspended solids did not reduce membrane fouling, what the colloidal fraction had to do with it, and what the original work over-claimed.
